Our Latest Muse

Marion Cotillard, star of the recently released Inception and oscar winner for her role as Edith Piaf, is my latest obsession. Elegant, talented, and naturally beautiful, Marion's makeup is always exceptional and perfectly suited to her features. What I love is that she often emphasizes her lips with plum or blueish-red shades, which happen to be my favorite lip colors, and accents her eyes just enough so that her beautiful blue peepers speak for themselves. When she does dramatize her eyes, it's perfection. Let's see some of her best looks.

What I gather is a simple way to emulate Marion is to apply some light gold shadow along your lids, following with a brown liner along your top lash line. Your complexion should be dewey and fresh. Follow with some lovely plumy lipstick. Pull your hair back to show off your fresh-faced gorgeousness, or let your hair cascade around your face. Mon dieu!

Tips for Marion-esqueness:

* Since lips are the main course, keep them smooth and plump with exfoliation. You can use a toothbrush or a simple sugar scrub. Massage them for no more than ten seconds.

* Nourish hair with an oil treatment at least once a month. I usually like using things around my kitchen for this, but Aussie makes a great 3 Minute Miracle conditioning mask. It's amazing and very cheap at around $3.00.

* Cultivate a mysterious, sexy smile. Marion always looks alluring and flirty, like she's got a big sexy secret only she knows about.
